calling yaar is wrong or right

The meaning of Yaar is Dear. We can call yaar, only if the person is very close. Woman, if married once, will be no longer close to anyone except to her husband. Hence calling married woman Yaar/Dear is not correct. Dont you feel embarrassed if someone calls your spounse dear/yaar/darling in front of you ?
