How come I have never heard of this until now? Are these investments for real, legal, and providing real profits?
If these are good investments what do I need to know to do this right?
Share your wisdom please, thanks.

i admit, i had been fooled before. and i don't regret it since i learned from them. i had tried like 3 of them and got scammed by two. i did not get my initial investments back. well, it did not hurt much. it's just like 5 US dollars anyway. but it's still money.
so, i learned that HYIPs who promises too much from their investors are just scammed sites. i have one HYIP program to which i am still currently in. the earnings are not that high but atleast, still far better than when i put my money in my bank savings.
i had been paid 8 or 7 times and paid as promised. but i will still spend some more time in it to see if they will keep on paying me before i get to recommend it to people. but as far as i am concerned, i am satisfied with their plans and payment method. no waiting for some hours before they transfer my investments with interest from their site to my e-gold account. good thing is, transfers are done at the same time you request for it.

sorry to hear that.
i would think that you have a positive thinking on hyip, and for sure you would succeed from investing on such schemems.
personally i think even you could control your funds in forex, the world's largest market, but its even riskier than hyip.
i have been making over $600 pure profits from egeneration for a $20 investment. Now expecting to earn a bit over $1000 from fic, if it could run for three months as expected.
hyips are very risky.
and i am not greedy.
if this one folds, some other programs could earn me more back, much more than spends.

I have to disagree with moreinfo. Trading on the forex of foreign exchange market is not as risky as hyip. No doubt the forex is the most volatile in the world...hyip does not even fit into the same ball park. The reason I say this is that hyip is not an investment. It isn't even a lottery were you might win something. Though I have never tried it so I can not be sure I have yet to find significant evidence to support that anything at all can be gained from it. As far as I know only those in on the scam itself initially can profit, everyone else is screwed.
But, like Jim Crammer says on Mad Money vice wins out over virtue when it comes to money. So, show me the proof and I'll gladly try it.
Forex on the other hand I know for a fact can be profited from. I have seen the news, read the stories, and know that my mom has a significant amount of money invested in the area.
Risky yes, but hyip is worthless so investing your money in it is worse than risky it is stupid.

Some are for real, others aren´t. The ones that aren´t promise too much to be true. If it says for example: Earn 3000 Dollars for a few hours work, it´s definately not true. If it was, everyone would be doing it.
Hope this helps.

Most HYIPs are scam! Unless they approved by the Federal Trade Commission or any approving government body they are not legitimate companies.
We should not be fooled by the get rich scheme that they usually offer. And most of these are "fly by night" websites who are out to take cash from the poor victims of their scheme.

I also have heard about hype. Here we do get more income like 150 to 160% of our investment. But many hype are scam and we loose money in it.There is heavy risk to invest in hype. Also many times hype sites mention on their site that if you have ability to loose money you are investing then only invest. There is heavy risk or good gains.

that's too high for earnings. 150% is too high, right? i don't think they will pay as promised. the HYIP i am into does not promise such high interests but i am satisfied somehow.
