Canon photo printer, without useing a computer, scanner error message.

I have printed some excellent quality photos, however when I tried to print some more of the same sheet of thumbnail photos, I could here the scanner scanning the sheet but when it finished a message came up (scanning error) Can anyone help me print the photos? I have deleted them from my camera
