Why Population is more in India?

Its all about education..if the people are Educated, certainly the population will some what decrease.

In my view, following are the causes for more population. 1.Family planing is not compulsory to all religions. 2.Illiteracy among the people. 3.Religious belief prevent to have small family.

In short it comes in the following order: 1. The environment that helps in reproduction and natural growth. 2. Low cost of living. 3. Man power being the main resource of earning for the vast mojority of poverish people, a typical characteristic of agro-based economy. 4. Religious belief. 5. Lack of social awareness and social education. 6. Marriage and marriage related rituals. 7. Unwillingness from all corner to implement strict population control measures.

Population has a lot to do with education and poverty. If you are educated, you are less likely to depend on children as an insurance policy for your old age. And you are likely earning more than an unducated person. If you are poor, you are likely to provide for your old age by having more children, thinking your sons will provide for you in your old age (though it often doesn't work that way these days). As a society develops (economically) poverty reduces and the birth rate falls. India was late to develop due to 200 years of British rule. With China, I do not have a clue, but I believe similar reasons must have existed, especially the poverty part.

it may be due to the fact that the people in india do not know any thing about the family planning.they do not plabn about their families and hence the population goes on increasing.it may also be due to the reason that less people die due to good health facilities and more are born..

coz some people in India love to making children

In India family life is stronger ,compare to other countries.After marriage child is a must.So it is difficult to control the population
