capital punishment versus mercy killing

why death sentences should be practiced? is it necessary to hang a person to punish all his guilt... rather being given a chance to defend.... and if giult is of higher degree, why not he be sentenced to be driven to last voyage mercifully....in two minutes the story ends up and nobody talks as soon as memories lost in the time span.... is this the correct way to punish a guilt...

Let me help you imagine this.... One day at a park two kids at the age of 5 are playing. The mother sits a little behind them. She is reading a magazine. Then one man comes and takes one of the kids. Day after day he is sending pieces of the kid to the mother, until one day he sends his heart. Tell me what punishment would you give to this guy!
