Flaws in Jurassic Park

In Michael Crichton's famous thriller The Jurassic Park there were a number of flaws, one of which being the use of DNA from a hermaphrodite frog for completing the genetic sequence of a dinosaur of certain species. The major mistake in this speculation is that the gene responsible for hermaphroditism in a frog has been shown to act in the same way in the context of a dinosaur's genome. One single gene may perform different function in animals of different species, thereby conferring hermaphroditism in one organism and (lets say) bad breath in another organism. The dinosaur might be having bad breath (instead of hermaphroditism) but Mr.Crichton would never know!!
