fun in morrowind

I think morrowind is a really great game... the graphic etc are great and i love the loose story line, giving you the freedom to explore without contantly doing tasks/ quests etc. But i can never find anything that fun to do when i dont want to do quests. Anyone want to set me a challange or gimmie a suggestion??

I think Morrowind is a great game too. The only problem is that I used to play it a lot and now I haven't played it for a while I find it hard to get back into because i've forgotten what tasks I was completing when I last played. I'm really hoping I don't have to start again. As for a challenge, how about you get youself turned into a vampire...i've read on a few forums that this is possible, but I wouldn't advise doing this on a game your intending to finish because apparently people don't like to talk to you when your a vampire and you can't find out about alot of the tasks...but it's good if you want to run around scaring people.

Apparently you should only let yourself get attacked by vampires in one of 3 places so that you can become affiliated with one of the 3 major vampire clans. Those places are: Galom Daeus, Druscashti, and Ashmelech. You turn into a vampire if a vampire attacks you and you contract Porphyric Hemophilia. Hope this helps, I have a copy of the players guide saved on my computer. If you would like a copy of it then send me a private message with your email address and i'll send it to you. You need Adobe to open the file.

You can be cured of Vampirism, just so you know. You can also take on quests depending on which of the three vampire factions you're part of.

There are some pretty cool places in Morrowind when your exploring. When I don't want to do quests I usually just wander around and explor caves, caverns, Dwemer(sp?) Ruins and Deadric Ruins. There is this one place, I forget the name(I can get it off a friend), it has human flesh in a cauldren and theres scamps and stuff. Its around the North West area of the island. I'll give you more specific directions when I find it again.

wow that sounds like an adventure. i do like exploring caves and stuff but it seems i hav a very bad sense if direction because i almost ALWAYS get lost in them. and i know it sounds a bit strange but i get kinda scared of deadric ruins lol. Thanks.

Something that I always found fun when playing Morrowind was exploring all of the islands. Some of them are quite interesting, and you never know exactly what you're going to find.

I would try and get as many chandle/misc items as i can. And then i would kill a guy who lives in a manor (like nerano manor ect) And then make it look as cool as possible. Have a look at some of my screenshots to see em!

I have a challenge that I only heard one person take it seriously. There's 2: 1. Make a character who is completely law abiding. A character who does nothing illegal in the game. You'll find it is extremely hard in the game to play legit. 2. Make a character that becomes powerful. Run and clear every town of people... just kill everyone. You'll be surprised how many enemies are rough. Vivec, the Dwarf Guy, etc.
