Questions on VA benefits

My wife has been active duty army for four years and is n ow getting out. I'm still confused about va home loans. I know that almost everybody is eligible. But i'm not sure if you have to have perfect credit or not to get a va loan. I'm sure we will find out more about it later. I'm just wandering if anybody knows more about it nthan I do is all.
