The difference between CKC and AKC

What is the difference between CKC and AKC dogs? My 9 mth. old boxer is CKC and I would like to use him as a stud someday. But it seems like everyone asks for AKC registerd dogs. Does CKC make them any less valuble? If that is what you call it. Let me know your thoughts!
