This was the best programme I have ever seen on TV. I remember having to really concentrate to keep up with it, the whole series gripped me from beginning to end. I've been trying for quite a while now to buy it on DVD, but without much luck. It turns out not to have been a BBC programme, but made by PBS in America. Documentary video (.com) are one of the few sources I have found, but want the extortionate sum of $150?! for the 5xDVD set. It also transpires that there were two more series too - the only sequel I remember was called "Now you see it, now you don't". Why is the programme not available in Britain? Why is it so expensive? Why do people bid more than the retail price for it on ebay?
