Gas vs ethanol... when will the change come?

Gas prices seem to be going down- but that doesn't mean that they won't spike again, we need to make the change to ethanol, there was a lot of talk about it a few months ago - and now I haven't heard anything recently..... Do you think the gas companies are trying to silence this new approach??? How much are gas prices where you live?

If brazil can do it, we can do it better. But the power of the major gas-companies is strong. In a few years, we must make the step to energy which is durable. But i hope it will be soon.

but if it burns faster- it will end up costing you just as much, the only advantage would be that we won't need to depend on other countries to help us.

We have two ethanol plants near here and they are both laying off workers. The reason is there's just no demand for it. And, the reason for that is, ethanol is slightly cheaper than gas but burns quicker. So, what you save at the pump you lose by having to fill your car up more often.
