What inspires you to write? Is is about reflects of the past or a person or thing that makes a presence in your mind for a minute that gets the writing juices going? Do you write as a release or to educate others? Share your thoughts of what inspires you.

I am inspired to write whenever I get some quite time. I like to write in my journal it is a release for me. Whenever I have a negetive thought, I will turn that thought around into something positive and it puts me in a better mood. I also keep a journal for my children so when they grow up they can read what I wrote about them.

I also have a journal I write in from time to time. I like your idea on writing in your journal and saving it for them.

I am not a writer but if you include writing posts in your questions then my answer is every thing that deals with existence, the meaning of life, love and the like inspire me most. But even then I need a sudden genius stroke of divine inspiration to be able to put words into my thoughts so I may be able to write well. It seldom happens.

Nature inspires me a lot. Besides sometimes some person or mood too.
