While the aforementioned movie is based loosely on fact, many claim it is the truth, and that it is a conspiracy to hide the truth. Thoughts?

I have also heard about the movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is based on true story, but I haven't seen it yet to give an opinion how good the movie is. I have read the story of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and it turns out to be a good movie worth watching ...

This was not a true story.It was made up like a documentary so that the movie will have a real feel and would run better.this was one of the low budget movies whcih hit it really big.I had seen the old movie which was real good.i didnt see the remake.how do u guys rate the new movie?this movie was supposed to be so scary that people walked out of sneak previews fearing the movie.
