As of right now, I know I am not doing too much. I do have plans for the near future. When I build my home, I will use as many materials that are natural and easily renewed as I can. I plan on using a geo-thermal heating and cooling system and also solar energy to power my home. I know that initially it will cost more to build, but I feel like I will save money in the long run and help our earth at the same time.

All 5 of my children wore cloth diapers. People thought I was crazy. One woman had the nerve to ask "ever heard of Pampers?" I replied "ever heard of the environment?" People acted as though I was mistreating my kids! I was the one who had to wash them out, for pete sakes!!

I also used cloth diapers, most of the time, actually, when my son was little, pampers were the only thing out there, and I couldn't afford them. LOL. I hated washing them out too, but you can save the environment and money at the same time. The bad thing was at that time, we didn't think about the environment. I bet very few of the young mothers would even know how to put a cloth diaper on a baby. Thank you for your comment.

Great post, if consciousness develops among people like you and me in this way global warming will reduce a lot. Anyway, I constantly promote to use bio-degradable goods and containers. I do not carry plastic handbags and tell others to follow me. Also I keep promoting for the needs of aforestation. This way I try to develop an awareness among the people in my locality. And I think it has so far been pretty effective.

I also talk to my friends about it, it is a growing concern with the people I discuss it with. There are many bio-degradalbe and recyclable products on the market, but I have found the bio-degradable trash bags leave a lot to be desired. LOL, they start degrading a little too fast for me. It would be nice if they produced grocery bags and diapers out of that product. Thank you for your comment, it is nice to know that the people do know the problem exists, and even a little help matters.

Use products that are not harmful to mother nature, recycle some materials, and never burn some plastics. Be a model to other people and if you see some of your friends that are using harmful products, teach them.
