Yes, I do miss someone everyday. I think about this person often for many many years. That at times I have also cried. I lost the person because we were both going in different directions in our lives. And for a time there, it was really hard because this was the one person that I knew understood me...kindered spirits. It was so hard to move on with my life. Would you believe that for some reason after almost a decade, I hear from this person again because of my myspace account? Although it is great to talk to this person again, I feel a sense of emptiness because this person is not available to talk very often. So, I miss this person more now because the wound is fresh again. Besides that very dear friend, I also miss my father. He was the best man I would ever know. We had a bond that I am so happy to say that is now a rarity these days. I think what makes it worse is that I have not been back to visit my father grave since the day he was buried in 1999. I have not even seen his headstone! Because of this, I think it has been harder to let go. I feel that I should be able to pick up the phone and talk to him. And the fact that my mother got married almost 2 years ago and want me to call her new husband Dad does not help. (Note: My mother and father were divorced when I was 4 years old and I was raised by my father so he is not someone I want to replace.) But my mom is so insistent on it that I have folded and referred to him by the name of Dad. But when I did...I felt as if I was betraying my father! So, it just makes missing him worse. So, sure, I miss someone every day.

I miss my daughter and grandson that live over 2,000 miles away in Tucson, AZ. I know it isn't the same as someone passing away, that pain is ever so great. I just miss seeing her and the baby and I wish I could just hug her every day.

When Mothers day comes around I tend to really think about and miss my Gram. Not only does her not being here bring sadness to my own mom, something I hate to see, but I miss her so much too. There will be times when little things pop up, I'll find neat cards, stationery or whatever that I think "Oh I should get that to send to Gram" (she lived in Alabama, me and mom are in Pennsylvania) or at Easter how she always looked forward to my box of Romolo Chocolates mailed to her (a local chocolatier). While I will say it has gotten somewhat better, perhaps I don't think about her EVERY day, I think of her often enough to let her know she is truly missed here on earth.

My mother passed on 7 years ago and I still miss her everyday. I would so much like for her to see my granddaughter and to know what my kids are doing. And, then all the questions I'd like to ask her. I have to keep telling myself that she is looking down and seeing us.
