Were your kids well proportioned as babies?

My son isn't. He's in the 75th percentile for height, around the 30th for weight, and the measurement of his head is completely off the charts! He also has incredibly large feet. He still wears 6-9 month clothes or sometimes 12 month ones for the length. But he already wears a size 5 shoe. My friend's son wears a size 5 shoe also but is in a 3T. Does anyone else have a baby with extremely large feet?

My daughter was well-proportioned - she was chunky all over, with a big head to match. Thankfully, that slowed down as she grew older - I was afraid she'd always be a chunk, but she's a slimmer well-proportioned now. As for shoe size...I think she wore a size five when she was a year or so old? 18 months? She's only in a nine now, at age three, and her feet look so big to me - I guess it's just compared to what they *used* to look like!

Can't say that mine were oddly proportioned. They were all in the 90th to 94th percentile. My kids were pretty big. They all skipped right over the newborn clothes. My oldest is 14 and he wears a mans large shirt, 32 waist jeans and a size 11 shoe!

I have one son who has always been way off proportionately. He was 75th-90th for his weight, 15th-25th for his height, and his head has always been above 99%. His feet weren't that large, but they are double wide! My mom used to tease he has boats for feet. His are still extremely wide. He wears a 4T now, will turn 4 in May, and you can't put a toddler hat on his head because it won't fit, his head measures close to the same as his 7 year old sisters.

My 14 month old son can't fit into a lot of toddler hats either. We just bought him a bike helmet (for his bike stroller thing) and got one that was 3+ and it fits him fine.

My son was a normal size when born - 7 lbs 13 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. He seemed to grow FAST though and was a little chunky baby until he was about 4 when he started to stretch out. While he was little his feet were big and his head seemed to be larger than the rest of his body. He had a little belly but his arms and legs were all skinny! I think all toddlers look strange until they start to really grow and stretch out. One thing that never changed though.. my son's feet are still large! He is 16 and he wears a size 12 shoe! You better start saving now for those name brand shoes when he's a teen. :)

My son was always at the top of charts for length, but for weight he was in the 25-50%. He's still really tall, but has filled out a little bit more! He had small feet for the longest time, like he was always a size behind. Now he's got large feet, but I believe that's because he's so tall.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one with a tall skinny baby! All my friends complained about how long everything was on their little chubby babies, and I could never find anything long enough for mine!
