Have you had a child recently graduate from kindergarden or have a chold that will be graduating from Kindergarden?? My oldesy daughter graduated last year and i cried through teh entire ceremony! She was the smallest in her class and just turned 5! I never felt so proud in my life! She is now still 5 and half way through grade 1 and she has A's and B's on her report card and is doing great considering she was too young in the first place. I got her in early because of her intelligence and i now glad that i did! She will not turn 6 until mid May and will be starting Gr.2 in September!!

I think that it also kind of opens up our eyes somewhat as well! It makes us realize that they are growing up and will continue to do so! I can't help but get emotional at times like these!

My great nephew graduated from Leap Frog, which is like Kindergarten only its called Pre-School or Reception. He loved it, it was a wonderfully memorable occassion for all the children, who where leaving their lovely Pre School to go to Primary Education.

My son is 4 1/2 and in K4 now. He is the second youngest in his class, but also the second tallest. He's very tall and slim. I have no doubt that I will cry as he progresses, with pride and with amazement that the time has flown so quickly. I'm getting my tissues ready for this coming Friday when there will be a Grandparent's Day program they've been rehearsing for... also getting the videocamera ready because my husband can't get out of work to attend.

So glad that your child completed a grade. Would be concerned if Kindergarten was a problem. However, the graduation thing concerns me. Graduation indicates completion a finality. She is still in school!? This is new since I was in school and I homeschool my kids so am curious about this new system with mini graduations. What do they now call the completion of public school in totality. It was once graduation! Good that she has a good head on her shoulders. Must have come from her Mother! :)

I thought that every child had a Kindergarden Gradualtion. It is more of a ceremony really. It's small and nice and they have a little presentation where they give the Kindergarden Diplomas!! I guess that you could sort of say it's like graduating out of your toddlerish years and going in to Elementary sort of...LOL! I had a kindergarden grad also and that was 20 years ago! I even have a grade 9 diploma after passing and going on into High School!! Thank you for the compliment at the end also thats so nice of you to say!

Wow.. it's been a long time now since I graduated kindergarten, and I don't remember there being a ceremony for it. I think that it's wonderful that your daughter is doing so well that you were able to get her into school early, and that she is still earning A's and B's in her first grade year! That is awesome! ^_^
