Friendship between Boy and Girl

What do you think of friendship betwwen two different gender boy and a girl. Do you think it lasts for ever. What do you think should both have to keep it going. How many friends do you have with opposite gender and how succesful.You ideas and suggestions regarding such friendship.

I think friendship between any two people is a wonderful thing. True friendship lasts forever, whether it's between girls, boys or both. To keep a friendship strong, it simply takes loyalty, dependability and trust. Presently I have 6 male friends that I am in strong contact with. These are all long time friendships that have stood through many trials. They are the brothers I never had, and they look out for me that way. Even being married, they are quick to be at my side in any situation and they have mad my husband one of them, so we can all get together and have fun. I know I can count on them, he knows he can count on them and they know they can count on us.

Thats a good point where you talk of maintaining loyalty, dependency and trust which are the main pillars of any friendship between anyone. The ones who maintain this will definitely lead thier friendship and will maintain as yours forever.

I found growing up that I had more friends of the opposite gender. I don't know if this is because we as girls (and women) tend to be rather catty. It seems my girlfriends and I are always comparing things and being competitive whereas with the male friends I have we don't do that. With the male friends we can openly discuss things and not have to worry about it coming back at me.

I see this many a times in real life. How goosd you are a friend with a opposite gender you always tries to be competitive with them which rather never happens with the friends of the same gender. Thank you for the response.
