Leased vehicles- early buyout?

We have a leased vehicle that will be up in May. The dealership where we got the car has talked about offering an early lease buyout. We would be able to get another vehicle (leased) with no money out of pocket. Has anyone ever done this before? This is the first time we have leased a vehicle, and really like the situation. I know there are alot of people out there who think leasing is a waste, but in our financial situation, this is the best option for us at this time. We can afford $199 a month for 2 yrs easier than $400 a month for several. We bought extra miles totally 30,000 over the term, and have only used 17,000, so we know we are okay in that area of having to pay for over our allowance. What are your opinions and experiences?

Years ago, this is what I what did too. It was a decision made on a purely financial point of view. I needed to have a reliable, fairly new car, and didn't have the money to buy a car. The leasing is a great option. It worked in my situation.
