Who knows this product? I bought di-atomate to use as an alternative for pesticides. As we all know, humans are destroying our planet by using poisons for everything. Diatomaceous Earth is a safe alternative to using poisons to control insects and parasites. Diatomaceous earth (DE) contains the fossil remains of diatoms, a type of algae which produces skeletons made amorphous (non-crystalline) silica. Almost universally, the diatoms obtain silica from volcanic ash which falls into the water in which the diatoms grow. Over eons, these lakes dried out, exposing volumes of these fossil remains many feet deep. This material is now called diatomaceous earth, or di-atomate. It is completely safe and nontoxic. Here are some of its benefits: controls fleas and ticks; stimulates basic metabolism; converts feed better; reduces odor and moisture in barns and stalls; results in healthier coat and hoof condition; keeps fly larvae from developing in manure, noticeably lowering the fly population; reduces annual vet bills; controls worms and internal parasites without chemicals; promotes healthier egg production and stronger eggs; and reduces overall animal stress. Diatomaceous earth can be mixed right in with animals’ feed. Your livestock will also receive the benefit of over 14 trace minerals in diatomaceous earth. have you used this?

Yes, I used this on my garden last year, where an overabundance of pill bugs and centipedes were interfering. One application really cut down and two kept the numbers within reason. I recommend it for anyone who is trying to garden in an unbalanced soil situation.
