How do you get rid of BEER BELLY?

My friends keep asking me how to get rid of this horrible beer belly but i dont know what to say. I have read that it is very hard to get rid of a beer belly. It really looks aweful by the way. What do i tell my friends? Is it true that BEER is the sole source/cause of beer belly or do you get it in other drinks too like rum, vodka, brandy etc..
