pagefile.sys... can we modify it?

i know all computers with windows have this pagefile.sys... and mine is more than 2gb already. can we delete it... or lower the size of this file???

We can't manually edit pagefile. It acts as a second Ram to computer. But we can change its size from Virtual Memory settings.

i tied disabling the page sysfrom my c: and move it e: drive... but it will not totaly remove it. windows still wants to leave 1.5gb of pagesysfile in C: + the pagesys file in E:

I dont know that one can delete it manually or not, but it can be deleted by using optimizing softwares like winxp manager, it is no harm deleting this file at shut down

i recall deleting this file for Win98 and after rebooting. the fille would appear with a smaller data. would it be the same for windows xp?
