how do you stop virus from infecting your pc?

Well it's an easy thing to do - just by installing antivirus software into your PC-a very good one..

well i always ensure that i have to use OS which i have inbuilt firewall ! and avg free ! i am using XP SP2 and avg free currently ! my system doesnt get infected oftenly !

Hi If your Anti-Virus Software is not up to date, it will let Virus's infect your machine! Even if it IS upto date, and it is a new virus, it is still possible!! What annoys me is...... What Sadistic pleasure do they get out of it, when they design new virus's ??

antivirus software often doesn't stop new virus but if you do update your antivirus maybe it can find it. If it doesn't find anything you can use a on line antivirus to scan your pc and remove manually the infection. I also use hijackthis software to remove virus that my antivir software can't remove

hi... i am computer hardware eng. i am doing this job from last six years. i am telling you my experieance. for virus, install NORTON CORPORATION EDITION VERSION 10, and than update by internet, than after you have to scan your machine 3 times continueous wihout connecting internet. and after every scan just restart your machine. than install yahoo toolbar with norton spyware and also update that, and scan one time. i am sure your 90% prob. will solve. and ya must remember after every 7 days update both antivirus. bye.
