What is the longest you have dated someone?!?

My wife and I dated for over 6 years before we got married, and that is by far my longest time dating someone! What is the longest amount of time you have dated someone, and did you end up getting married (or think you will get married)?

My husband and I dated for 4 years before getting married. I think it was a good thing because with that amount of time you can be sure you know the person and that you really want to spend the rest of your life with them. We have been married for 3 years so far:)
