I disagree. If you eat 6 small meals a day and drink 8 glasses a water, as well as exercise, you'll lose weight. There are many body builders that recommend this. Before they compete, they usually gain weight, and when they know it's "time" to compete, in order to lose the weight, this is what they say they do. I've done it, and lost many pounds.

Yes and no, i know of one diet that i am currently on that is builds muscle but also makes u lose weight, i have tried it with other people aside from myself so i know it works with a wide range of people, if u want to maximize your results u should do a little exercise, ok this is my diet plan: Mourning: drink a protein shake with fat free milk, about 40 grams of whey protein is good and thats all u have for breakfast Lunch: the same exact thing as breakfast Dinner: a light dinner consisting of something high in protein, with vegetables, and small ammount of carbs(10-15 grams), i usually eat about 35 shrimp with brocoli and a small baked potato now if u try to go immeadiately on this diet and u start to find yourslef hungry during the day, u can eat ONE power bar to keep yorself from feeling like u are starving, what this diet will do i build muscle which will increase metabolism and decrease the size of your stomach since u are eating less which will make u want to eat less and less thereby keeping your weight down, if u stick to this plan it will work, but if u do not follow it exactly as i have laid out u may see little to no results at all

eating less is not the only way to lose weight. one should eat the right kind of foods and have regular physical activity. there are certain foods that have a negative calorie impact on the metabolism. for instance if one eats a chocolate, one gains extra calories and the body spends very few calories to digest it, but if one eats the negative calorie foods (aubergine, gourd, broccoil, leek, cabbage, lettuce, carrots, cauliflower etc and fruits like orange, clementines, tangerines, all kinds of citrus fruits, melons, all kinds of berries)at regularly spaced intervals, ones body tends to be metabolically active throughout the day and help in losing weight. also exercise in any form is a must for losing weight...one can include exercise in day to day life in many different ways

One way to lose weight is to drink water, especially before meals. Water will fill the stomach and you will eat less. I would suggest 16 oz before a meal.

Thats the most obvious way to lose weight. However, there are certain things you can eat and have larger portions (whole grains, low calorie meals, etc.), so its not just a matter of eating LESS, its more a matter of eating right. Maybe less calories is a better way to put it.

Yes, that is the only way to lose weight in a healthy manor. Its just that that way happens to be the most difficult to make yourself do! BUt 1 pound is not 3500 calories. Calories aren't a measure of weight, they are a measure of energy. So its not transferrable. You could equate how many calories of a certain type of food would be in a pound of that food, but its a different unit of measurement for different matters. Not to mention that a calorie we hear about in diets is actually a KILO calorie or 1000 actually calories. A calorie is a very small amount of energy so we just measure human intake of energy in kcalories.

That is incorrect. If you initiate a low carb, high protein diet, there is something called the metabolic advantage which actually allows you to eat many more fat and protein calories than your BMR would state and still lose weight or stay the same weight as long as you stay low carb. Non low carb, that statement would be correct.
