Wow...I finally watched Gridiron Gang last night and I was floored by the story portrayed in this movie. It really hit home because my brother has been through that type of life and is currently serving time in a "big boy" jail. Meaning adult jail. He has only been into minor correctional facilities before, and has struggled to maintain a normal life once he was back on the streets. This was not accomplished at all. Now that he is looking at serving 5 years, for armed robbery, he is thinking alot differently. And I hope for his sake that he escapes the street life this time. But anyways, back to the movie. Were you moved by the power that one man enabled a group of "gang members", "thugs", etc. ? And seeing as how this is based on a true story, do you think that it is time to look at our punishment system and arrange for other activities to fill the "void" that some inmates get while in a correctional facility? For those of you that don't want to watch it for whatever reasons, or haven't thought to get it, I really do suggest you do. It is a great story, and just an overall fantastic movie.
