Does It Really Matter?

There is the question, "Is being gay the result of genetic or a choice". I have seen this question asked many times in many places on the Net. I wonder "What difference does it really make?" If the National Academey of Science were to announce that being gay is the result of genetice factors, would there be much change? I doubt it. In particular, those religous persons who choose certian biblical interpretations to condem gays, would still do so. What are your opinions?
