If anyone is a freelance writer that doesn't use a website like associated content, how do you get your clients?

I don't tend to sell my stuff to people other than through word of mouth if I'm not selling them on Constant Content. http://www.constant-content.com/?aref=2932 I find that CC is better than AC in the long run, because it allows you to set the prices, and when it sells, then you can earn much more money for your work. But there's a bit more waiting obviously. I sell more stuff on CC then I do not on it though, but I haven't tried to sell too much on my own yet.

I attend screenings for films and just review the heck out of them anywhere that will allow me to post. I have had offers from plenty of papers offering freelance work but very rarely do I find solid openings for growth. Journalism is a hard racket because there are so many hopefuls. The older and more known you become the better your chances become.
