Well, if you got tired when you were dieting, it sounds like you may not have been eating the right foods. It is very important to get all of the proper foods. Start your morning with some oatmeal - 1 even 2 servings and some ff milk. Add some raisins, cinnamon and some artificial sweetener. Have a snack - LF string cheese Lunch - a salad (use a lf(sparingly) or ff dressing, a sandwich with light bread and 97% fat free ham(or somethng similar) and some mustard. A container of sf ff yogurt Snack - a serving of lf popcorn and a fruit Dinner - Some lf meat 4-6 ounces, some brown rice or sweet potato (watch the toppings), again a big salad, careful of the dressings. Snack - this is a good one. Make some sf jello, let it partially set up and then whip in a container of sf ff yogurt. Even if you use the small box, it is huge and you can eat the whole thing. Now you have eaten 3 meals, 3 healthy snacks- you have had 3 servings dairy, lots of fruit and veggies, complex carbs and lowfat meat. Because you are continuously feeding your body, you are helping it burn calories. You will not feel hungry and you won't obsess on food, because you know your next meal is not that far away. Drink lots of water. Start exercising. Get a baby back pack, put that baby on your back and start walking, you will see the pounds fade, it will not be overnight, but it will happen. For lots more ideas to to www.weightwatchers.com and subscribe to their newsletter, you get all kinds of hints and it is free. Good Luck..and I am fighting the same battle.

When to Start Dieting? This one is for women: Never start a diet one week before your period. The hormonal imbalances will drive you nuts, will make you frustrated, and the water retained in your body will make appear as if you haven't shed a pound. Actually, you will look as if you took pounds. So spare yourself! The best moment to start a diet is two days after your period has started, when your cravings subdue and your body starts eliminating the retained water. It's better not only from a psychological point of view, but also from a physiological one. So, girls, did you know that the body retains up to 1 liter of water before and during your period? Keep that in mind next time you are complaining that you cannot lose weight. Personally, I retain even more sometimes. Anyway, I started this new way of eating. My friend lost 20 pounds almost following it in the US, and if she could do it there, I can do it here! The basic principles are the ones I have mentioned already. 5-6 meals a day and two or three more substantial. Never eat until you are full, just until you are not hungry anymore. Take out sugar so your insulin is not high and stopping you from losing weight. My daily intake varies from 1,200 calories to 1,500 calories. I don't think that going under this is helpful or healthy. In the morning I'm having a Diet Cereal Bar and half a glass of yogurt. Two-three hours later I have lunch (for example today I had three small pieces of chicken nuggets and 3 large spoons of eggplants and yogurt salad). Then I had one Diet (with fructose instead of sugar) fruit cheesy yogurt. Then I had dinner - other 3 pieces of nuggets, one egg, and lots of lettuce - and then one more fruity cheesy yogurt. I could have added more, but I feel ok. I am not hungry. I could use some fruits though.

To lose weight, we need to burn the calories. To do that we do cardio exercises. Like walking, running, aerobics even dancing. Drink a lot too, water, juices and 2 glasses of non fat milk everyday. Plus limit your intake of fatty foods(CRISPY PATA!lol) And don't skip meals, it just makes you hungrier for the next meal and tends to make you overeat. 3 full meals a day,(with reasonable proportion) plus small snacks in between. Just snack on fruits, or sometimes coffee. Coffee curbs my hunger pangs. Another calorie burning activity... clean the whole house inside and out, at least once week. It would give you at least 2 hours of fat burning activities. But no gorging after, please! lol
