it seems everything are almost said here, but among others, i see to it that they are God fearing...seems most of this days, this is forgotten already. I am not so religious but i have faith and believe that there is only One God.Also to respect older people...

i believe this is the most important value of all. to be god-fearing encompasses all other virtues. thanks for sharing this.

i feel that when a child starts to understand things that you tell him/her, then it's time to start teaching your child what you want them to know. i tought my four year old to know who is a stranger and who isn't.

yes, teaching your child to identify who is a stranger and who is not will help keep him away from danger. thanks for responding.

DIGNITY; in my view once a child learns what dignity means she/he would not fall prey to IMMORALITY...

that is so true. learning to uphold his dignity is, indeed, something that needs to be seriously talked about to your child.

i must teach my child a value of TIME and PUNCTUALITY which is really diminshed in our daily practice. other important thing is always telling Truth & Loyalty... which makes one person noble and add other qualities by having only these qualities in a person.

There are a lot of values I would want to teach my children as they grow up. These would include not being greedy, that material things and wealth is not what really makes a person happy, to know what is right and wrong and do what is right, honor and respect parents, and to be responsible people.

our children are the future of the world, that is why i feel it is very important that we teach our kids the right kind of values. if your kids grew up with these values inculcated in their hearts and minds, you'll be the happiest and most-fulfilled mother on earth. good luck, yamiboo!

I think it's to respect others. I think that's most important b/c I really believe there is a lack of respect for others whether it be from children or adults.

yes, i have to agree with you. there's a seemingly lack of respect that exists between adults and children. we see and hear children talking back to their parents, and we see and hear parents lashing out at their children, too. it does seem that respect for others is diminishing.

the value is ver vague thing. there's internal and external value. i will teach them the value that are innate in them. what they think is right are the things they should do and they should not step on anybody or hurt anyone.

that would be a beautiful thing to teach them --- not to step on anybody's shoes, especially in your quest to become successful or great.

teach them to think for themselves and not be fooled by all the bs going on in the world now.

great answer. thanks for sharing your thoughts. you're right, there are a lot of people around the world who think they know everything, and they go around trying to influence your beliefs.
