You may not get many replies to this question so I'll help you out. The star by your name is a rating of the quality of your posts. The higher the number (10 is the max) the better quality of posts you make and also the more informative your responses and discussions are. Most people feel that you should go looking for the answers yourself and they're "sick and tired" of telling people what the star means. I don't mind answering the question at all, I don't see a problem in helping someone out.

Well, y rating is getting less day by day. Just 5 sdays ago i had 85/1000 rating and now its come to 71. What can be the reason?......anyways as per ur discussion , U have made 100 i m close to reaching 200, I have similar thoughts like u to reach 500, perhaps my rating doent get too low by that time.

well had the same feeling when i reached it its really a great feeling this feeling of achieving something congrats from the bottom of my heart and as for the star its your ratings my friend my lot rates every user according to the quality of posting made so your posting quality must really be very high to have got 9 i had 4 when i reached hundred so great going hope you reach the 500 mark soon best of luck and keep discussing

Im also very close to 100 posts as well. I feel stupid looking forward to a milestone on a discussion site!! lol But nonetheless it will still be a good achievement and i look forward to reaching 500 just like yourself. Long live myLot!!

my first goal was to reach 100 but now my new goal is to reach 2000 i know i can make it because so many before me reached it and some even passed it. I didn't see any star beside your name but i have seen alot of them and i am wondering how or when do we get these stars.

Now that you brought it up its made me wonder what my rating would be if indeed i get a rating. Its good to know and thanks for asking the question.

congrats for your 100 and star next to your name is performance points of yours if houver your mouse over the star will also get your points out of 100 as mine is 65/100 in the same way u will also get that..its just your performence at mylot greather the star better the performance.
