Any country, as a matter of fact will not buy its uncirculated coin/currency. American coins have very good premium comparing to the other countries. Any how I'm giving you the site address, which will give you full details. www krause.com, it has ezine about present value of world coins. Or else visit eBay coin section see whether your coin has been came for list or not. Get the details with the values make your decision.

You are very wise about old monies I like that I wish more people would take time to learn what has a value what doesn't and how do you go about disposing of it in the proper manner.

If you approache a bank they will buy it at the face value, not more not less. If it is a collectors item, I would check online for collectors and inquired thru them.

I happen to be a bit of a coin collector. Depending on what it is that you have we might be able to work out some sort of arrangement. I would need first an email address so that we could communicate.

The US government doesn't really buy them back, as even the older coins/currency is considered valid to use when purchasing anything here in the US. Depending on how old they are, you might be better off finding a private collector who is interested in purchasing them from you.

Usually you have to sell it to an exchange place or a person that collects old coins rarley if at all does the US government buy its own money back.
