Are you the nice kind of person that would lend a friend some money? or are you so nice as to pick up a hitchhicker? How far does your niceness go?

Being a woman I would not pick up a hitchhiker unless I clearly determined that the person was injured and needed help. I would not lend money to a friend because it would likely destroy the friendship. I would try and help my friend as much as I could, with resources such as food, bus tickets, medicine, access to the internet, clothes and many more things but never money, unless it was a quarter for a phone call.

That is very insightful. I never looked at it as destroying the friendship by loaning money. But as I look back I would have to agree. Money is not a good source of friendship. Thank you for your outlook.
