Friends can u tell mee difference between dual core and core 2 duo

The core 2 duo is the new architecture for the intel processor. This processor is a dual core and have a shared cache for the 2 cores. The dual core is a generic name for a CPU whit 2 cores. A dual core is also an AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+.

in addition to that, Pentium D, is dual core of Pentium 4... while core 2 duo is dual core of Pentium M, the new core...
