Why are comic book movies so successful?

Everybody loves a hero. A certified, justice-for-all guy who beats the baddies to a pulp and comes out smiling. We love it when the baddies get their just desserts. if only real life were like that! My hubby collects Superman memorabilia and comics, and loves all the comic book heroes. I usually go to tsee the movies with him too:) I have to say Superman is one of my faves too - though I do like Spiderman (as much as I HATE spiders. LOL) and the new Silver Surfer movie looks great (saw the promo today when we went to see Epic Movie - a spoof on so many including Superman)

I've liked several of the movies that have been made or inspired by comic books. Spiderman, Superman, Batman, X-Men, Ultimate Avengers, Daredevil, and many more they have all been very good to me. I think they are popular for two reasons. For many it's a chance to return to stories they grew up with. The other reason is today just like when we were kids we need to see the chance that one person can make a difference, that evil will have someone there to stop them. It gives us hope I think and there are times we need that even as adults.

The latest Batman series Batman Begins released in 2005, The Dark Knight released in 2008, The Dark Knight Rises released in 20012. These is my favourite comic book movie I have seen because it's the best made movie series I have seen and it will remain the same ...
