Do people engrossed with their virtual lives forget about their real lives?

Gaming is supposedly for fun, having to spend time on when there aren't much to do - time fillers should we say, something to perk one's imagination once in a while, whatever else, but it was never meant to take place of reality. Guardians should be on the lookout for their wards. Once misguided, these gamers shall become useless louts in the society when they could be reliable pillars considering how intelligent and innovative most of them are.
