I hv heard news that communicating in ORKUT is dangerous?

Now lot of bad news is comming about orkut.Some people are misusing it.I think it is better to not reveal your identity to unknown person in such sites.Now college and school going students are getting addicted to this site.I think it is better to bann such sites.

whether it is orkut or any other site on internet.you just cant say who the person on the otherside is.best is not to reveal your complete identity unless and until you get to know that person for a really long time.

hi,May be true,but not sue.The same i heard from good source,in case of AGLOCO,because we have agloco tool bar,there is chance to know our data and activities on computer.

no i didn't heard this from anyone but if this is true then everyone has to stop communicating in orkut.

Ya! it can be.... there is no privacy in the communications we do through orkut, any one can track our daily activites if we are active on orkut or any other social networking sites, like myspace.com or hi5.com. And again we dont know what kind of people we communicate through orkut, some are total stranges and there is no way to establish their identity which makes socialising through orkut dangerous. So as a precaution only use orkut to socialize with people whom u already know, rather than making friends with total strangers. And yea...its true that some antisocail elements are there in orkut trying to spread wrong messages among the people, so beware of that awsell.
