There are one incident when I am young. That time I am a boy scout, It was my second year of secondary school (age 14). That time one of the activity of boy scout were monkey crawl (Monkey crawl is a technique to crossing a horizontal rope) That time I were suppose to help monitoring the safety of my junior (all those who one year younger than me) There are one accident where one of the junior falling from the rope and he broke his arm. I am the nearest person when he fall , That time if I act quickly I "might" be able to catch him but all I did is just stand there and watching him fall. I know that I can't be hold responsible for that but still I feel bad.

Something similar happened to me when I was younger. I was in 3rd grade and at a gymnastic's meet. Two older girls were supposed to spot me as I dismounted from the parallel bars, only they were not paying attention and I fell and broke my arm. I do not hold them responsible and never have. I never even thought to blame them. You are feeling guilt because you have compassion for the young man who fell and broke his arm. This is not a bad thing, however do not be consumed by this guilt as you were still a child yourself.

Thanks for replying, I know it is not the same situation but somehow I feel better hearing that. I always thought I could do something about it since I am the nearest person when he fall from the rope.

Oh dear, I fear we are all guilty of the "should have done, could have done," thoughts and feelings. What you feel is normal, however you have expressed regret and that is all that can be done now. Forgive yourself for this incident. You are a good person or else you would not be feeling so sorrowful about this situaton. Give yourself a hug!
