Halloween? Is it as much fun for your children as it was for you?

It seems that parent's are having to be more and more careful now where and when their children go 'trick or treating' than it has been in the past. I can remember going door to door for several blocks around my parent's home without fear and without having problems of poisoned candy or other cruel things happening. It seems now parent's are having to be extra careful and many are only letting children go to stores or parties held by church groups or other organizations. Am I wrong in thinking that a lot of the 'fun' has gone out of the trick or treating?

No...political correctnss and commercialism has taken out a lot of the fun and magic. Costumes are store bought not homemade..(well we still make them ourselves)but all the others...school carnivals and stuff...no more...

At least I am not alone in feeling that a lot of 'fun' is gone. Seems a lot of things that we used to do as children can no longer be done by today's children -- they are missing out on a lot of things.
