Yes you are right.Not only pesticies but also hormones and ethylene are used for early ripening of fruits esp that comes from himachal.Dont understand why its mainly from the north.But its a serious problem and in kerala a whole village has almost disappeared due to pesticide poisoning in a nearby estate,and the sad thing is its a govt controlled estate
