Yeah, i think its really effectve in gaining friends. I recently opened a friendster account for firends and family who have been wanting to see pictures of my five-month old daughter. It was a bit difficult for me to email pictures at every request. Now all they have to do is open friendster.com and add me as a friend. Now I even have friends whom i haven't met but we have common friends and interests.

yes it is. I have a lot of friends there its okey because aside from you can personal message them you can also see their picture if they download some. Friendster is like a community as well you and some other of your friends are connected with each other and you can see them on your extended network. YOu can also search for people there like if you have a friend that you havent seen for a long time, you can go on and search for him/her in your friendster account. Its cool......
