christians are being persecuted! why is this?!?!

Christ himself said Blessed are you when people persecute you in my name's sake. I like to put emphasis on the words "in my name sake" If it is because we are following Christ that we are persecuted then we are blessed. Some so called 'christians" are persecuted because of their own doing and not in Christ's name. They are giving christianity a bad image to the world. They are stumbling block and giving people wrong impressions about true Christianity which is loving Christ and following Him.
