do you shower or bath your dog in your own bath or shower or do you use a different one. how do you feel about people who do use their own . do you think its unhygenic?

Yes, we use our tub. What would be the difference? You hug your dog, let him sit on your lap etc..you have his germs. Besides after we bathe them I disenfect the tub with a bleach cleaner, so it gets rid of anything in there (just as I clean it after we use it). Have not had any problems.

I have bathed my dog in the sink. He is a shih tzu, so he's tiny enough to clean in the sink. However, I sanitize the counters and the sink once I'm done. I think just so long as you thoroughly wash either the tub or the sink down, there shouldn't be a problem.

In the summer I wash them outside. During the winter I use a shampoo that does not require water. Our pooches wouldn't let us pick them up and put them in the tub. I did have a dog that I bathed in the tub. I always scrubbed it out after his bath.

Well, with all the soap and water that goes down a tub, I don't know how it would be "unhygenic" unless you are also eating out of your tub... I only have one tub in my house, so there is no choice for us anyway, although my back does get sore leaning over it to wash him.

I don't but only because I have a pet grooming shop at my home with a raised tub easier on the back then bending over .I see no harm in it I think you should clean the tub out but we as humans are not the cleanest either .

I don't--Bella (the smaller of the two) is too hyper and Floyd (very heavy) is scared of the bathroom--he'll sit in the doorway and whine. I take them to PetSmart and let them take care of them during this time of year--in the summer, I bath them outside at my home.

At this time of year it is rarely above freezing outside with the windchill, so I most certainly wash my dog in our tub. However, I usually plan it to coincide with a day I need to clean the bathroom!

I don't, I have a laundry tub and he's small, but I would if he were too big. Just clean the tub afterwards. No problem.
