What Type Community Helpers Do You Have Where You Live?

My daughters first grade class just finished a project on community helpers. For two weeks now we have been learning about the community surrounding our neighborhood and the people and helping people in it. For example, policemen,Fireman,Doctors,Nurse,Postal workers,teachers.crosswalk attendants,grocery workers. You get the idea. I thought since the people at MyLot are from so many different places in the world, it might be interesting to see what everyone's community is like. So...What type community helpers do you have where you live?

Senior volunteers, soup kitchen workers, child support volunteers, youth coaches and school tutors. i would add these to your list.
