Hepatitis B, is it still curable? contagious?

I have a neighbor who are suffering from hepa B. It's been years now sinced she started to take medicines but till now she's infected of hepa virus. Do you exactly know its causes and preventions? What is the best medicine for that? Pls. tell me so that i can help my neighbor. Thanks!
