Indian cricketers dwindling performance is a cause of national concern...as they focus more attention on product modelling for MNCs than on the sport, have left the whole of India in a state of hatred... In spite of all positive rationales about cricket players turning mercenaries, spending big money on cricketers' endorsements of products and services has become the new mantra of MNCs. This brand building trend has made the image of Indian cricketers bigger than life. The cricketing life seems to be short lived just b'coz of this endorsement incomes.....modelling has become an alternate option in life... It is a fact that investment in sports related ad promotions have been growing at a fast pace and these have made cricket players some of the highest paid people, even surpassing cine stars. It is obvious that once a player gets into this endorsement department...the focus on the game starts to blur...insnt fame is wat the players are demanding today... I being a true cricket fan would like to campaign against this endorsement by the Indian Cricket Players until they are the No.1 team in the WORLD... Would u like to join hands with me????

I do agree that the indian cricket team has completely lost its prime focus which is the game itself. The performance of the present team can be compared with a bicycle stand where when on of the cycles fall, the rest of them follow suit. This can be purely be contributed to the endorsement earnings that they are looking forward to. Even before a player emerges to his full potential as a player he get caught in the web of endorsements as he is not sure what the future has in store for him. He wants to grab these endorsement before he fades off as a player. The media is also responsible towards this in certain ways.

At least till this world cup is over, they should be forced to spend their time either with their family or with their team. Not with media managers.
