That's the consequence of living in a highly materialistic world. Man I shudder to think that these will be the future generation and when there time will arrive they would no doubt be fully stuffed with anger .Hatred ,Repulsion and what not. In some way we the present generation is to be blamed. In the rat race of today's world we somehow forgot the tenderness, the compassion, piety and righteousness . May God be with us ,and may He heal us in time.

I would blame both. the system for allowing too much freedom for children (mass media among countless culprits) and the parents for being too busy and "lazy" to educate the kids. Although there is nothing wrong to expose our kids to such horrors in society but such exposures should come with guidance. I do not say censor or sugarcoat these harse realities but find a way to explain why such things happen (but do not put personal bia and prejudice in the explanations) and what can be done about it.

There's nobody to blame, those things are a fact of life and there's no way to keep them from being exposed.

Children touch topics like these because its reality. They hear about it from the folks around, over the radio and, witness them on tv. But, children talks will always be light talks, they do not really have a full grasp of what they are talking about unless, somebody old enough, explain it to them in vivid detail. There is nothing to blame here, really. These are the occurrences of the present times and these kids belong to these times, too.
