Yes, it is neccessary to have license with us while driving any vehicle. But if you forget it at home due to some reason, its ok.

I wouldn't say that it's necessary to carry a license, but it is the law. At least that the law in America. I think there are a lot of laws that focus on things that aren't "necessary".

I think it is good to have but I have been pulled over without my liscense with me and the officer just asked for my social security number.
