Would you have plastic surgery for your husband? (I wouldn't under these circs!)

Oh my gosh. There is a story in the news today about a Chinese man who has persuaded his new wife to have plastic surgery so that she will look like his first wife, who died in a car crash. I really think that this is sad. As much as I wish to find love, I would not be able to marry a man who was only marrying me to try to recapture his first love. Would you go this far for your husband or husband-to-be? I truly feel that I could not. The simple fact that he would _want_ me to do it would make me feel that he does not truly love me for who I am. You can read more here: http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_2173283.html?menu=

I would not willingly have surgery for anybody. Too many people are having elective surgery to change their appearance. People go to far with plastic surgery.

I hope no one else wuld do plastic surgery for the reason this man is giving. Man I wouldn't feel right about it. Just whne you thought calling out your ex's name in bed is bad enough... now you have to make your new partner look like your ex (1st wife). Jeez. so sad... that should be grounds for divorce huh?

That's just crazy! I sure am glad that doctor insisted the couple undergo psychological consultation first. He can not make up for his past by making his current wife have surgery to have her resemble her more. Even though he was pressured by his parents to marry again, he should have waited. He was not ready and this marriage will not last if he insists on having his current wife in the shadow of his former wife.

I would never EVER force my girlfriend to get plastic surgery. Its HER body, she can do what she wants with it. I personally dont approve of plastic surgery, because of the scars it leaves behind so i definatly wouldnt encourage or force my girlfriend to do that

No way. There is no way I am having surgery unless it is medically necessary. This is me this is who I am my husband can either take it or leave it but I'm not having surgery. I'm very fortunate my husband would not change a thing about me. And I am the same way about him.

That's so sad. The man got married only because pressure from his parents and choose she due to she looks a bit like his first wife. He want a shadow of his first wife through persuade she to plastic surgery. I would never ask my girlfriend to do that. I also think the man undergo psychological consultation first.

Any woman that would do this is obviously too desperate and not really ready for a relationship.

"I got married only because she looks a bit like her and I want to have a chance to make up for my mistakes," says Zhao. Wow this man is sick, she should say no and leave him.

She should get him to pay for the surgery to make her look like a supermodel, THEN LEAVE HIM....

I certainly have no issues with marrying a plastic surgeon, but this guy is taking things too far. You shouldn't have to change yourself for the person you love, and changing your appearance for him shows that he's still hung up on his past.

well for me, i will not go through to a plastic surgery because i was created like this...and if a man really loves me, he will accept me whatever i am or he will loves me for what i am...i think the most important thing when you love somebody is his character and there is a saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder... :)

I wouldn't myself change for anyone, maybe something like losing weight or fixing my teeth or changing my hair but not plastic surgery

urgh, there's something almost dirty about that, will she have to wear the same style clothes and make-up, behave in the same way, what about in the bedroom? I'm sorry to say it's almost a form of abuse, if he cannot love her for who she is he should set her free and invest in a good medium if he missed his wife that much.

surely i wont do this for my husband ever. The statement shows that he has treated his wife as a commodity and dosent love her but is simply replacing her for the first. This is rediculous and I wont entertain any such moves.

That is so insane. He must have really loved his first wife. But to be his other wife I would not do it and it would affend me that he would even ask for me to do that.
