What is the toughest dog?

I have been around dogs all my life and I have my own thoughts on this. What are yours? What breed of dog is the toughest?

by "tough", do you mean "agressive" or "hard to take care of"? Any dog can be agressive if he's not treated right. And hard to take care of may be a big dog if you live in a small place, or a little dog if you have kids. I heard that rescued greyhounds are a little timid. It all depends.

I agree. Toughest sounds like you want a mean assed dog. This is a bad dog. If you mean tough as in hardy, I would go with an Australian Cattle Dog. My guy just takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
